Our NEXT MONTHLY MEETING  will be at Grumpy's across from the Civic Center from 6:00 to 7:00 on Mar. 25th.   Come and be a part of our group and bring someone else that shares the Auburn Spirit.  We will discuss the year's  events, goals, scholarships and etc.  Immediately after this meeting the Relay Team will meet for a short update.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND PROJECT -- This is an ongoing, year round project to help our deserving youth here in Cullman County.
One of our goals is to provide a tuition scholarship to a student at each of our (9) Cullman County High Schools.  This year we are able to fund several tuition scholarships for our Cullman County students  because of  the fantastic support of our Auburn Alumni, Sponsors, and Friends of Auburn.  Last year our Cullman Co. Auburn Club sent $7200 to Auburn to be distributed to graduates of our nine high schools.  This past year we were able to increase the amount to $10,500 with six students qualifying as recipients. 

RELAY FOR LIFE   May 7-8, 2010 Heritage Park --The 2009 Relay was an emotional and uplifting effort.  We thank everyone for your time and/or donations.  We had a hardy and determined group that stayed  the whole time between  Friday 10 AM thru Saturday morning.   This was a wonderful  time to give back to our community.   We raised almost $600 for the ACS of Cullman Co.   This years goal is $1000.  Come be part of our growing team.  The Cullman Co. division of the American Cancer Society had a Fall '09 event at the Cullman Co. Fairgrounds last Oct.  We are making this another  annual event after the annual County Fair. 

 ANNUAL BANQUET EVENT –  This highlight of the year will be June 10, 2010 at the Cullman Civic Center.  The 2009 dinner was an outstanding success.  We almost doubled our attendance of the previous year with  637 attendees.  Our excellent barbecue meal was catered by our Cullman Elks Lodge.  We had almost three dozen Table Sponsors.  All proceeds go to our Scholarship Fund which has a goal of providing a tuition scholarship for a graduate of each of the (9) Cullman Co. high schools.   This year  we again celebrated the "Auburn Spirit" at the Cullman Civic Center with Head Coach Gene Chizik as our featured speaker and Coach Nell Fortner, our Womens Basketball Coach.  Several others from Auburn were in attendance along with 'Aubie' and Tiger Rags. Tickets were available at the main branch of Merchants Bank, Traditions Bank, Peoples Bank, Eva Bank, and Regions Bank.  This premier annual event is now called the Annual Scholarship Dinner.  On June 10, 2010 we will again enjoy hearing from Coach Chizik as our featured speaker.  Tickets will be limited by the Fire Marshall so plan ahead to get your tickets by late March 2010.  AAA/CCAC members have ticket priority. 

Cullman Co. Fair - Sept. '10  Come check out our booth.  Volunteer to help.   

FALL FAMILY PICNIC EVENT featuring 1) Speaker, 2) Membership Drive,  & 3) Election of Officers –This  last Club event was on October  8th at the new Aquatics Center  from 6 to 8 PM.   We had a good turn out on that cold night.   The meal was sandwiches and finger food.  Our speaker was Cole Cublic.   The proceeds went into our scholarship fund for Cullman Co. graduates.  Officers were elected for 2010.   If you missed it, you will have another chance at next years Fall Event.  We added several new members at this event.  Membership packets for 2010 were assembled and mailed out.  This year the event will be held again at the new Aquatics Center in early October with cost to be determined.
